Amputation does not mark an end, but the beginning of a new path toward a full and unique identity.

AVANCE intervenes from the moment of diagnosis and supports each individual until they regain a fulfilling family, professional, and social life.

An essential focus of AVANCE's mission is to inform amputee victims and their families about the compensation process from the very beginning.

Accepting an insurance offer without professional help is often much less favorable than when assisted by a legal and medical expert.
The AVANCE association was created to support individuals who have suffered a traumatic amputation as a result of an accident.
AVANCE embodies a powerful mission: to move forward together despite life’s challenges.
In 2010, Bruno ROMERO, then 27 years old, was involved in a tragic road accident. He was driving a bus carrying 40 passengers on a trip to Greece when the vehicle collided with a truck that suddenly cut into his lane on the highway near Rimini, Italy.
Fortunately, all the passengers escaped unharmed. However, Bruno was seriously injured and had to undergo a transtibial amputation of his right leg. A long hospitalization followed — first in Italy, then at CHL in Luxembourg.
This event radically changed his life and the lives of those around him. Through this difficult experience, Bruno discovered a deep passion for helping others who, like him, live with the consequences of such upheaval.
After 15 years of resilience, he now wishes — through AVANCE — to highlight the importance of guidance and support for amputees and their loved ones.
It is not the loss of a limb that defines a person, but the way they choose to move forward.
